Boy's death: KIMS Director orders inquiry

Following a police complaint filed by a man alleging the negligence of doctors of the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospital resulted in his son's death, KIMS Director Vasantha Kamath has ordered an inquiry.

Mayappa Nagammanavar of Savanur in Kalasur taluk had filed a complaint at the Vidyanagar police station on Wednesday alleging the negligence of doctors during a surgery carried out on Tuesday on his 12-year-old son Mailari had resulted in his death on Tuesday night. The Vidyanagar police have registered a case. On Wednesday, members of Samata Sena also held a protest seeking action against the doctors.
