The Ramanagaram police have arrested the 16-year-old boy who was accused of raping his three-year-old neighbour.

The boy had fled from his village after attempts by his uncle, a gram panchayat member, to broker peace with the girl’s parents failed.

Anupam Agarawal, Superintendent of Police, Ramanagaram district, said boy was arrested on Tuesday night. Sources said the boy was located at a border village in Tamil Nadu. The boy has been sent to remand home.
