BJP Raitha Morcha has released a booklet defending the Union government’s proposed land acquisition bill.
The book says the bill is not against the interest of farmers. Neither does it damage the prospects of agriculture production. On the contrary, it will boost agriculture production by creating new irrigation projects, the book says.
It lists arguments in favour of the bill and counters all allegations made against the intentions behind the bill. It says that every care has been taken to ensure the welfare of farmers.
We are of the opinion that opposition to the bill is politically opinionated. The bill is in fact, the best welfare measure for farmers in several decades, Suraj Singh Rajput, Vice-President of Raitha Morcha state unit, said.
