‘Blood connects us all’ is the theme of this year’s World Blood Donor Day.

Minister for Health and Family Welfare U.T. Khader will participate in the World Blood Donor Day-2016 programme at JSS Hospital here on Tuesday at 10.30 a.m.

JSS University, JSS Medical College and Hospital, Department of Transfusion Medicine and JSS College of Nursing have jointly organised the programme.

A poster competition has been organised to mark the day, besides felicitation to three blood donors. A talk on bone marrow registry has also been arranged. An awareness rally will be flagged off from the hospital premises at 8.30 a.m. A voluntary blood donation has been arranged at Sri Rajendra Centenary auditorium on the hospital premises on M.G. Road.
