Blind man ends his life

A blind person allegedly committed suicide on Friday in his house at Doddakunnala, Gubbi taluk, Tumkur district.

The police said that the deceased, Paramesh (29), used to do bar bending work. He became blind two years ago. He was HIV positive and was staying with his mother.

The police said that he was depressed after losing his sight.

When his mother had gone out, he allegedly poured kerosene and set himself ablaze. He died even before his mother could summon help.

A case was registered in C.S. Pura police station.
