BJP to form State parliamentary party

August 27, 2014 10:38 pm | Updated 10:38 pm IST - BANGALORE:

The Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to constitute a State parliamentary party to decide issues related to the State to be raised by its MPs in Parliament.

This decision was taken at a meeting of party MPs held in Bangalore on Wednesday. Speaking to presspersons after the meeting, BJP State president Pralhad Joshi said a convener would be appointed to the State parliamentary party.

It would also work on exposing the alleged failures of the State government, besides creating awareness on the Centre’s welfare measures, he said. At the meeting, the MPs were told to put the Congress government in the dock by highlighting it’s failures in their respective parliamentary constituencies.

Mr. Joshi added that prominent State leaders would tour the State to do the same.
