For ‘unconstitutional' action against Yeddyurappa

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar has demanded the “immediate recall” of Karnataka Governor H.R. Bhardwaj for what he called “politically motivated and unconstitutional” action against Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa.

Addressing journalists here on Saturday, Mr. Javadekar described the Governor's action as “unparalleled” in history. “They are born out of his own political frustration,” he said. He also alleged that the Governor had become a “political tool” in the hands of the Congress.

Asked about the fallout of the 2G spectrum scam, he said the Congress was now trying to cover it up. “But, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam will have to pay a price in the coming polls for the involvement of the former Telecom Minister, A. Raja, in the scam.”
