The Bharatiya Janata Party has complained to the Election Commission that the former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had charged its leaders Narendra Modi and D.V. Sadananda Gowda with corruption.
It said the charges were false and defamatory and violated the model code of conduct.
In a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer Anil Kumar Jha, party spokesman S. Suresh Kumar said Mr. Kejriwal, during a roadshow in the city on Sunday, even dared the BJP to file a defamation case against him. It clearly showed that he didn’t respect the law.
Mr. Suresh Kumar said that the AAP leader had made many allegations against Mr. Modi without any evidence.
