BJP meet: No discussion on internal feud

May 28, 2017 11:42 pm | Updated 11:42 pm IST - Bengaluru

The meeting of the State BJP core committee on Sunday, the first after an open feud broke out between B.S. Yeddyurappa and K.S. Eshwarappa, confined itself to discussing the party’s outreach programme over the next two months.

Sources said Mr. Yeddyurappa expressed dissatisfaction over senior leaders not taking part in the ongoing Jana Sampark Abhiyan, which will conclude by June end. The feud between the leaders, however, did not come up for discussion.

The BJP will hold 33 public rallies across the State as part of Making of Developed India (MODI) fest on the occasion of the NDA government completing three years in office. Gujrat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, a team of Ministers from Madhya Pradesh and the Union government will participate, the sources said. All senior leaders have been directed to participate in the programme. The next State executive meeting, scheduled for July 22 and 23, has been shifted to Bengaluru from Ballari.
