The Congress on Saturday ridiculed the BJP and the JD(S) for copying its style of campaigning.
The JD(S) has launched ‘Mane Manege Kumaranna’, while the BJP has launched ‘Mane Manege BJP’. Both the parties have copied the Congress programme ‘Mane Manege Congress’, said Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G. Parameshwara.
Replying to allegations made by Shehzad Poonawalla, an office-bearer of the Maharashtra Congress, that the process of organisational elections in the organisation is manipulated to favour Rahul Gandhi’s election as the party president, Mr. Parameshwara said the party has its own system of election and it would be conducted in a transparent manner. Twenty party leaders had proposed the name of Mr. Gandhi for the post of president of Congress.
