The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Mandya Unit, has sought suspension of the Congress MLAs M.H. Ambareesh and S.S. Mallikarjun for watching videos in a mobile phone during the Legislative Assembly session.
The party activists protested against Mr. Ambareesh and Mr. Mallikarjun in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Friday.
The Congress party has been organising protests against the BJP MLA Prabhu Chavan for viewing pictures of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on his mobile phone. But, those two Congress MLAs were also found watching videos while the session was on. Hence, Assembly speaker Kagodu Thimmappa should suspend the duo from the House, they told presspersons.
They also demanded an apology from Mr. Ambareesh and Mr. Mallikarjun for watching video clippings during the Assembly session.
Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Additional Deputy Commissioner, B.R. Poornima.
