Bike theft: four held

The police have arrested four persons in Sagar city, who are alleged to be members of an inter-State gang of bike-lifters, and have seized six bikes from them.

The police have given the names of the arrested as Syed Noorulla, Mohammed Salman, residents of Sagar, Nithin from Siddapura and Srinivas from Bhadravathi.

As part of probe into a case of bike-lifting in Sagar city recently, the police had arrested Noorulla. The police said that based on the information provided by Noorulla during investigation, they arrested the remaining three.

The police said that the arrested had allegedly lifted bikes in Karnataka and Goa. The total worth of the bikes seized from the arrested was around Rs. 7 lakh.
