Bidar MP selected to panel on chid rights

Bhagwant Khuba, MP, has been made a member of the first ever ‘Parliamentarians Without Borders for Children’s Rights’. The first meeting of the group was held in Kathmandu, Nepal, on Saturday. The speaker of the Constituent Assembly of Nepal Subash Chandra Nembang inaugurated the meeting.

This is an initiative by Nobel winner and child rights crusader Kailash Satyarthi and Brazilian senator Cristovam Buarque, who is a former chairperson of Global March Against Child Labour. Parliamentarians are expected to engage with their constituents on children’s rights and work together with multiple stakeholders to eliminate pressing concerns such as child labour and child slavery.
