There was no respite for the people of Hyderabad-Karnataka and Bombay-Karnataka regions from severe heatwave conditions, with the day temperatures remaining above normal in a majority of places, as per the observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department.
Bidar and Kalaburagi recorded the State’s highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, followed by Raichur recording a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature recorded in Bidar was 3 degrees Celsius more than the temperature recorded on the same day last year. Vijayapura recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, whereas Bidar recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.
The night temperature also continued to be oppressive in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region with Raichur recording a high minimum temperature of 28.6 degrees Celsius. It was 27 degrees Celsius in Bidar and Kalaburagi.
While Koppal recorded a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius followed by 35 degrees Celsius in Gadag, Belagavi airport recorded maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius. Both Belagavi city and Dharwad recorded a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius.
