Apoorva Ghale, a Hyderabad-based model whose roots are in Bidar, will compete in the pre-finals for the Miss Universe contest to be held in Mumbai on July 30.
The management student emerged as a finalist for the ‘Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2016’. If she wins the Mumbai round, she will compete for the Ms. Universe title likely to be held at the end of the year.
She was among the six finalists to the contest after she won the preliminary rounds in Hyderabad on July 10. She finished fifth of the 30 aspirants, who were judged for elegance, dress sense, ramp walk, perfect body, communication skills and fitness. Apoorva’s family hails from Sonal village in Aurad taluk. Her father Jaishankar Ghale is an entrepreneur who runs an industry in Bidar.
Apoorva said it was her childhood dream to be a beauty queen. “I have always followed the trends, news and events related to this. I have watched videos to learn how aspirants train, and perform in pageants,” she said.
She keeps herself fit by working out regularly and believes that fitness is of importance to everyone.
She hopes to devote a significant amount of time in preparing for the Mumbai event and said that she is working hard with a single focus for the forthcoming challenge.
