‘Bheema’ to protect Yadgir

March 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:40 am IST - YADGIR:

Yadgir City Police now have a patrolling vehicle — Bheema — to attend to public grievances round the clock in the city.

Safety

The prime intention to introduce a patrolling vehicle in the city is to ensure the safety of citizens, particularly women.

In case of any emergency, the people can call 9480803600 or dial 100 for help from the Bheema Patrolling Vehicle. Superintendent of Police M. Muthuraya told The Hindu that the introduction of Bheema would augment the efforts for better policing and prevent criminal activities.

The vehicle will have an armed sub-inspector and two lady constables on shift basis.

Duty officials will work round the clock within the city limits.
