KSRTC has suspended its services from Mysuru to Bengaluru in view of the road blockade between Ramanagaram and Bidadi on the highway.
Though buses that left Mysuru early in the morning around 5.30 am on Tuesday had managed to reach Bengaluru, the buses that left the City after 6 am remained stranded on the highway due to the protests.
The Ramanagaram police has diverted the buses through an alternative and circuitous route.
“We have suspended bus service to Bengaluru after 9 am. No bus has left for Bengaluru after 9 am. We will wait till the highway is cleared to resume service”, said Mr Mahesh, KSRTC's Divisional Controller (Rural), Mysuru.
However, train services to Bengaluru remained unaffected. “The protests have not impacted the train services, which have remained normal”, said a Railway official in Mysuru.
