The Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy will have its chairman soon. The government has zeroed in on a writer and film-maker for the coveted post, but has held back the decision, in view of the bypolls to three Assembly segments on Thursday.

According to sources, Baragur Ramachandrappa has been tipped for the post.

The post has been vacant from the past fifteen months.
