Bank employees strike in Belagavi demanding wage revision

Some services were affected in various public sector banks following their staff coming out on streets and taking out a rally in support of their demand for wage revision on Wednesday. The rally was organised as part of the nation-wide strike by the PSU banks.

At Belagavi, the rally was organised by the umbrella of United Forum Bank Unions, which demanded immediate revision of wages. The bank employees and officers from various banks, including the Canara Bank, converged at the Dharamveer Sambhaji Chowk and took out a kilometre long rally under the leadership of UFBU district unit convener E.M. Ginde. Culminating at the D.C .Compound, the striking bank employees raised slogans demanding early settlement of wage revision.
