Awareness drive on safety at level crossings

June 10, 2016 12:00 am | Updated October 18, 2016 12:56 pm IST - HUBBALLI:

The Hubballi division of South Western Railway held a “Level Crossing Awareness Week” to create awareness about the safety at level crossings.

SWR officials have been holding programmes in schools, colleges, and other institutions and organising skits, safety drives and distributing caps, stickers and pamphlets at level crossing gates as part of the drive for the last few days. It was launched on June 6 as a prelude to the ‘International Level Crossing Awareness Day’ to be celebrated on June 10.

The theme of campaign was three ‘E’s — education, engineering, and enforcement.
