In an interesting turn of events following the resignation of Excise Minister and district in-charge Satish L. Jarkiholi, the Congress government’s Chief Whip and Ramdurg MLA Ashok Mahadevappa Pattan has thrown his hat in the ring for a berth in the Siddaramaiah Cabinet.

He told a private TV channel that he would offer his candidature.

“If Mr.Jarkiholi remains out of the ministry, a vacancy will be created and there has to be representation to the district too. Under such a situation, I will offer my candidature for a berth in the ministry,” he said.
