Arrangements have been completed for the pre-university examination in the district, which will be held at 40 centres from March 13 to 28. Twenty-two centres are in the city and 18 in taluk headquarters and rural areas.

Sources said 25,632 students will appear for the exam in the district. Out of the 40 centres, eight have been identified as being prone to malpractices.

Steps have been taken to prevent malpractices at all centres. The district administration has appointed 19 district-level officers as special observers.

As a precautionary measure, prohibitory orders would clamped in a 200-m radius of all centres on the days of examination.

Orders would be issued for closure of photocopying centres and bookstalls near the centres. The use of mobiles inside the exam halls will be prohibited.
