Basava Jayanthi celebrations

Seer of Siddaganga Math Shivakumara Swamiji will be honoured with ‘Mahamahima Puraskar’ on April 21 on the occasion of Basava Jayanthi, at Basava Bhavan, High Grounds. Former Union Minister M.V. Rajasekharan; editor of Basavapatha journal Balasaheb Patil and president of Helava Samaj, Bengaluru E. Krishnappa will be presented Basava awards.

‘Vachana Tavanidhi’, edited by Prakasha G.K. Shetty, ‘Anna Basavanna – Anna Ambedkar’ written by P. Puttasomaradhya, Tumakuru and Basava Samiti journals will be released.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the event that is being organised by Basava Samiti, the 50-year-old organisation founded by former Vice-President of India B.D. Jatti to promote Basaveshwara philosophy.
