The BJP national president Amit Shah’s scheduled programme in the city on Wednesday has been postponed indefinitely.

Mr. Shah was scheduled to address an “intellectual meet’ at TMA Pai Convention Centre at 5 p.m. and hold a preliminary meeting with State-level leaders in a hotel in the forenoon on organising the Parivarthana rally in Bengaluru on November 2.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday Sanjeeva Matandoor, president, Dakshina Kannada unit of the party, said that all the programmes of Mr. Shah have been postponed due to unavoidable reasons.

He said that Mr. Shah arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on Tuesday and proceeded to Kerala to participate in the Janaraksha yatra at Payyanur. He would return to Delhi via Mangaluru airport late on Tuesday.
