The Karnataka State Pre-University Lecturers’ Association has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to amend counselling norms for transfer of lecturers and principals, and incorporate the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus in full for both science and commerce streams of pre-university course.
They submitted a memorandum listing out their demands to the Chief Minister on Monday. In the memorandum, they appealed to the Chief Minister to clear confusion regarding question paper pattern and the new syllabus that was implemented for PUC. Association president Prakash S.H. said they want counselling norms for transfer of lecturers and principals to be amended to make the process more democratic.
“Lecturers recruited in 2009 continue to be on probation, and we want the authorities to look into the matter and regularise their services,” said association secretary Jayaram U.
