Ambareesh to be taken off ventilator support

The health of Karnataka Minister for Housing M.H. Ambareesh, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city, is improving, doctors treating him told presspersons here on Tuesday.

Ravish I.R. of the hospital said doctors planned to wean him off ventilator support from Wednesday.

Dr. Ravish added that the dose of sedatives had been reduced.

Improvement in respiratory functio

A statement from the hospital on Tuesday said, “There is improvement in his respiratory function. Interventions have been done for stabilisation of his pulmonary function to enable the patient to be taken off ventilator support.”

Mr. Ambareesh’s fans, who have been camped outside the hospital, said they will not budge until he walked out of the hospital.
