The condition of Minister for Housing, M.H. Ambareesh, who was shifted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Saturday, is said to be stable.
Pulmonologist K.S. Satish and intensivist Raghunandan from the private hospital in Bangalore where he was undergoing treatment since February 21, have accompanied Mr. Ambareesh and his wife Sumalatha. He was shifted reportedly based on the advice of Tamil actor Rajnikanth.
Sources said a team of doctors from Singapore led by intensivist Ong from Mount Elizabeth Hospital are attending on him.
On Friday, Randeep Guleria, Professor and Head, Department of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders at the All India Institute Medical Sciences assessed Mr. Ambareesh’s health.
Health Minister U.T. Khader said he was flown in an air-ambulance, which took off from HAL airport.
The Minister said it was the same air-ambulance that had taken Mr. Rajnikanth to Singapore.
“The air-ambulance fitted with advanced ICU equipment also had some nurses from Singapore. The doctors who accompanied him will return on Monday,” he said.
Sources said Mr. Ambareesh’s son Abhishek Gowda and his Official on Special Duty Vignesh would leave for Singapore on Sunday.
