The suspension of Alur police inspector Jayalakshmi Sadashiva has been revoked within 48 hours.
The officer was suspended on Monday on the charge of dereliction of duty. However, her suspension was revoked on Wednesday.
Ravi D. Channanavar, Superintendent of Police of Hassan, suspended Ms. Sadashiva and sub-inspector Some Gowda for allegedly failing to curtail theft of diesel in Alur taluk.
It is said that K. Ramachandra Rao, Inspector-General of Police (Southern Range), ordered revoking Ms. Sadashiva’s suspension.
Mr. Some Gowda’s suspension, however, has not been revoked.
