Akrama-Sakrama: forms can be downloaded from website

March 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - MYSURU:

In view of the delay in receipt of printed application forms for Akrama-Sakrama scheme, the Mysore City Corporation (MCC) has announced that applicants can download the forms from the website of the State government’s Urban Development Department.

MCC Commissioner C.G. Betsurmath told The Hindu that a clarification in the regard had been sought from the Urban Development Department. “Though applications can be downloaded from the website, there is no provision to submit the applications online. The downloaded forms have to be submitted in the zonal offices of MCC,” he said.

The application forms can be downloaded fromwww.uddkar.gov.in

Dr. Betsurmath’s clarification came after several applicants returned empty-handed from zonal offices in the city. A day earlier, the MCC announced that its nine zonal offices would begin collecting applications from Monday, for regularisation of unauthorised development or constructions and violations in land use under the Akrama-Sakrama scheme. There has been a delay in the printing of application forms, said Dr. Betsurmath. “But, we later asked the officials to download the forms from the website and issue them,” he said.

Applications will be collected for the next one year.

Once the printed application forms are received, the zonal offices of MCC will issue the same to applicants along with a handbook, on payment of Rs. 60, he added.

The MCC had posted trained staff at all the zonal offices to guide the applicants in not only filling the application, but also to provide them information about documents that must accompany the application.
