Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will be making his first visit to Mysore since he became Chief Minister on Friday. Mr. Yadav will visit his alma mater, Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, and meet the faculty of the college and his friends from college.

Also on his itinerary is the Samajwadi Party rally in Channapatna in Ramanagaram district on Friday. He will also meet prospective allies along with the lone SP MLA from the State, C.P. Yogeshwar, to decide the party strategy for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

“The Congress will meet the same fate at the Centre as the Bharatiya Janata Party did in the State and we plan to take the elections seriously and make a mark at the Centre,” said Rajiv Rai, national secretary, Samajwadi Party, while addressing media persons on Mr. Yadav’s impending visit.
