A Sharjah-bound Air India flight from Delhi (AI 467) suffered a tyre burst while landing at the Cochin international airport at Nedumbassery on Thursday morning.
It was dispatched by afternoon after replacing the damaged tyres. CIAL officials said the flight with 138 passengers on board left for Sharjah around 2.15 p.m.
No one was injured. Two tyres were found deflated while the aircraft landed around 9.15 a.m. It was scheduled to continue its onward journey to Sharjah by 9.30 a.m. Passengers were told that the journey to Sharjah might get delayed, as new tyres had to be brought from Mumbai.
