Members of the All India Democratic Students' Organisation (AIDSO) has called for a state-wide bandh in pre-university colleges across the State on Saturday in protest against the State government’s move to implement the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006.

On Thursday, the Technical Students Federation conducted a protest against the recent decision by the state government and urged the State government to stick to the procedure that has been followed during the counselling for this year.

Meanwhile, the Students Federation of India, Karnataka unit held a protest at 22 districts across the State including Kolar, Bidar and Davanagere. Ananth Naik, State President of Students Federation of India, Karnataka unit said that the government was working as agents of private colleges.
