Well-known multilingual actor B.V. Radha (69) passed away in a private hospital early on Sunday following a cardiac arrest.
As per her wishes, her eyes were donated to Narayana Nethtralaya, and her body to M.S. Ramaiah Hospital. She was a cancer survivor.
Radha, wife of actor and director K.S.L. Swamy (Ravee) who passed away two years ago, made her debut in Navakoti Narayana in 1964 which had Rajkumar in the lead role. She went on to act in over 250 films in South Indian languages and a couple of Hindi films too. She acted with several top heroes of that period, including Rajkumar, N.T. Rama Rao, A. Nageswara Rao, and M.G. Ramachandran.
She also produced a few films, with her husband, under the Radharavee Chitra banner. In her later years, she essayed character roles and also associated herself closely with theatre, performing with troupe Natavrinda.
