Achyuthan to get R.H. Kulkarni Award for excellence in journalism

The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 5,000, a citation, memento and public felicitation.

Senior journalist K.S. Achyuthan has been selected for the R.H. Kulkarni Memorial Award for excellence in journalism instituted by R.H. Kulkarni Memorial Trust.

Announcing this here on Thursday, chief trustee of the trust Subash Kulkarni said Mr. Achyuthan would be the ninth journalist to receive the award.

The award would be presented at a function to be held here on Friday evening. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 5,000, a citation, memento and public felicitation.

Mr. Achyuthan,has served at the Directorate of Field Publicity, Press Information Bureau, and the Doordarshan Kendra, Bangalore, and also edited Yojana , a Kannada journal of the State government’s Publication Division. He has also written two books.
