Academy seeks chamber of commerce for Tulu cinema industry

The Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy will hold a meeting with Tulu cinema producers, directors and others in Tulu cinema industry to press the government for a Tulu Film Chamber of Commerce.

At a press conference here on Saturday, president of the academy M. Janaki Brahmavar said that the consultative meeting would be conducted as there was demand for a chamber of commerce for Tulu film industry.

She said that seven high schools in Puttur taluk have shown interest in teaching Tulu as the third optional language from the current academic year.
