AC sleeper bus service starts from Gadag

The bus passengers from Gadag and surrounding areas will now have the option of travelling by AC Corona Sleeper Bus to the capital city.

The service of the air-conditioned bus from Gadag to Bengaluru was formally inaugurated by Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister and District-in-charge, H.K. Patil at the Old Bus Station in Gadag on Saturday night.

Dedicating the new bus service to the people of the region and symbolically flagging off the bus on its maiden journey to Bengaluru, Mr. Patil said that it was an effort by the Gadag Depot to provide better and convenient bus service to the general public. He hoped that the people would patronise the AC sleeper bus service.

Chairman of the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), M.B. Soudagar said that all steps were being taken to improve the bus services in North Karnataka and priority was being given to address the long pending issues and bus services.

Daily

The new AC sleeper bus will leave Gadag at 9.45 p.m. every day and reach Bengaluru at 5.45 p.m. via Laxmeshwar and Haveri. The bus will return from Bengaluru at 9.45 p.m. daily

Gadag Divisional Controller, Shanthappa said that the booking for the new bus service could be done from the Gadag and Laxmeshwar Bus Stations apart from online booking. NWKRTC officials S.N. Majumdar, Niranjan and others were present at the occasion.
