Meenakshi Devi was an ardent horse rider and she founded the Princess Horse Riding Academy at the Bengaluru Palace Grounds.
“Horse riding was her passion and she used be in the forefront to hone the skills of horse riding among enthusiasts,” according to the palace sources here.
Her academy also offered horse riding holidays during which time enthusiasts with prior knowledge of horse riding used to be taken on long-distance riding in the less trodden terrains around Mysuru under the watchful eyes of expert horsemen.
