Srirampura GP head, deputy at loggerheads over Facebook post

A Facebook post has the President of Srirampura Gram Panchayat (GP) in Mysuru upset with the Vice-President.

Chudamani Prasad, president, Srirampura GP, has lodged a complaint against Usha, VP, for defaming her in a Facebook post.

“We have received a complaint, but will be registering an FIR only after receiving a legal opinion,” a police official said and added that efforts were also be made to bring about a rapprochement between the warring GP members.

Ms. Prasad came to the police station on Saturday and lodged a complaint against Ms Usha, accusing her of corruption on the social media platform. However, the police said that Ms. Usha claimed that her account was misused for posting the objectionable statement.
