GST migration help desk set up in Belagavi

The Belgaum District Small Scale Industries Association ​(BDSSIA) and Department of Commercial Taxes facilitated 'GST Migration Help Desk' at its premises in Udyambag in the city on Thursday.

The facility has been set for the convenience of the dealers registered under VAT and Entertainment Tax - Luxuries Tax nets to enrol for a hassle-free and smooth transition to the Goods and Services Tax regime.

​BDSSIA president Umesh Sharma said the help desk will be open till Jan.15 between 10 a.m. to. 5 p.m. Officials of the Commercial Taxes department will help dealers with migration to GST.

Documents

He said the dealers need to carry with them Provisional ID received from the State/ Central Government authority, password received from the authority, valid email ID, contact number, bank details with a copy of passbook, photograph of the authorised party, proof of appointing authorised signatory and proof of constitution of the business.

Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes Azamuttula Mirza was present.
