Entry restricted in Devarayanadurga reserve forest area

Entry to Namada Chilume and Devarayanadurga reserve forest area in Tumakuru taluk has been restricted as Deputy Commissioner K.P.Mohan Raj has imposed Section 144 of CrPC to prevent revellers from entering the forest area to celebrate the new year.

In a press release, the district administration has said people entering Namada Chilume and Devarayanadurga forest in groups to celebrate new year is prohibited from 6 p.m. on December 31, 2016, to 6 a.m. on January 1, 2017.

Entry of more than four people in a group and people carrying lethal weapons are prohibited in the forest area.

The Deputy Commissioner has ordered the Superintendent of Police to arrest those who violate the prohibitory orders and take action against them.
