90-year-old patient falls from third floor of hospital, dies

A 90-year-old woman was killed after she slipped from the third floor of Basaveshwar Teaching and General Hospital here on Monday.

Her name was given as Mahadevi Vithoba, a resident of Belamagi village in Aland taluk in Kalaburagi district. She opened the exit door under the pretext of going to washroom in the morning and slipped from the third floor and crashed to the ground.

The police said that Mahadevi, who was diagnosed with pneumonia, was undergoing treatment from last Thursday. A case has been registered at M.B. Nagar Police Station.
