Bidar district is all set to suffer power cuts ranging from 7 to 13 hours from Wednesday. Urban areas will have seven-hour power cuts and rural areas, 13 hours. Single-phase power will be supplied for 8-10 hours while three-phase power supply will last only three hours. This will continue at least for a week, officials said. “Power allotted to GESCOM has seen a reduction. We have to ration it to areas,” said a senior officer.

Areas in and around Chidri Road in Bidar town will suffer a power cut from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 19. Ring Road, Ram Nagar, New Adarsha Colony, and Bilal Colony will also suffer power cuts, said a release.
