48 p.c. progress in survey in Dharwad district

Dharwad district has so far achieved 48.64 per cent progress in the socio-educational survey, district social welfare officer Siddaling Hiremath has said.

Speaking at a review meeting here on Thursday, he said of the 3,87,259 households, 1,04,363 had been covered till April 23.

He said 3,195 blocks had been formed for the survey. Every block has an average of 150 households and the surveyors were visiting each and every household to collect data. It had been made mandatory for the staff engaged in the survey works to submit reports on a daily basis without fail.
