36,000 youths enrol for the event

FOR A SECURE FUTURE: Job-seekers from within and outside Ballari district thronged the venue of the job fair that was inaugurated in Tornagal on Friday.

The response to the three-day mega job fair that began here on Friday was tremendous.

Youths, including girls, from within and surrounding districts, and those who have completed ITI, Diploma in Engineering, BE, Computer Science and other graduation courses, congregated in large numbers with the hope of getting suitable placements.

According to statistics available, 36,000 youths enrolled to participate in the job fair. Infosys, Tata group of companies, Kirloskar, Hinduja group, Britannia, among others, are taking part in the job fair.

The speciality of the ongoing job fair was that job aspirants were imparted soft skill development training on Friday to prepare them for the interview on Saturday and Sunday. As many as 150 counters have been established for the purpose.

In addition, the aspirants would be sent SMS/email alerts about the date, time and the venue to enable them to attend the interview. Lunch is also being served to the participants.
