2,289 graduate from Airmen Training School

As many as 2,289 trainee airmen successfully completed their basic training at Basic Training Institute here and moved out to various training establishments of the Air Force after staging an impressive passing out parade at the premises of the Airmen Training School at Sambra, near here on Saturday.

Air Vice-Marshal S.S. Sharma, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Education), who was the chief guest for the event, reviewed the parade and presented the trophies.

Mr. Sharma wanted the young airmen to realise and keep in their mind that learning was a continuous process and they were expected to constantly update their knowledge.

AC(U/T) Hitesh Kumar won the ‘Best in Academic’, AC(U/T) Ajay Singh ‘Best in Marksman’ and AC(U/T) Dhanmay won the ‘Best in Drill’ and AC(U/T) Harish Dandotiya was adjudged as the ‘Best All Rounder Trainee’.
