Karnataka will get 200 additional free Wi-Fi hot spots, of them 110 in Bengaluru, in about five months from now.

IT & BT Minister S. R. Patil told presspersons that tenders would be floated on January 14. Three free Wi-Fi hot spots would be created in each of the 30 districts in the State.

However, increasing the number of hot spots would lead to a marginal reduction in the daily quota of availability for users, he said.
