20 people injured in Chikmagalur bus accident

As many as 20 people suffered injuries when the KSRTC bus by which they were travelling veered off a bridge and plunged to a depth of 30 feet.

The accident occurred at Kuppal, near Kadur, in Chikmagalur district around 2 a.m. on Sunday. The bus was heading to Gokarna from Bangalore.

Of the 20, 10 suffered serious injuries.

They have been admitted to a hospital in Shimoga.

Rash driving is said to be the reason for the accident.
