189 cases of drunken driving in 10 days in Tumkur

As many as 189 cases of drunken driving were registered by the police in the last 10 days in Tumkur district.

Violators in 178 cases have been imposed fine totalling Rs. 1,81,100. Eleven cases are pending before the courts.

Additional Superintendent of Police R. Lakshman has ordered all police officers to take action against those who drive vehicles under the influence of alcohol.
