Members of the Cycling Club of Infosys log their miles on the Bike Commute Challenge Portal as part of their Bike 2 Work. The 13 techies, who regularly cycled to work during 2014, had together travelled 13,282 km.

The cyclists had together burnt 404 k calories, a statement from the company said.

Mr. Anantha says the concept of cycling to work is fast catching up in his company that has about 6,000 employees in the software development centre spread across 330 acres.

The club hopes to double the number of employees cycling to work in a year’s time, he said.
