12 centres set up in Vijayapura for holding KAS exams

The District Administration has set up 12 centres for holding Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS) exam to be held on Sunday to be attended by 10,508 aspirants.

The information was given during the preparatory meeting held on Thursday, chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, D. Randeep, where he issued direction to the officials deputy on exam duty ensure fair and copy-free exam.

Stating that no laxity would be allowed by the officials designated for the job, Mr. Randeep said that the Karnataka Public Service Commission has already issued guidelines on the way the exams should be held.

He said that tight police security would be provided to all the exam centres, no person other than exam supervisor would be allowed inside the exam hall.

Prohibitory orders within five hundred meter radius of the exam would remain imposed till the end of exam. All photocopy centres should remain closed within restricted areas till the end of exam.

Each one including the staff members would be thoroughly frisked before allowing inside the hall, Mr. Randeep said. Handover any unauthorised person in exam hall to the police, he told the officials, and added that the aspirants have been prohibited from brining mobile phones or any electronic gadgets to the exam centre.

He said that apart from installing the CCTV cameras in all exam centres, the video recording of entire exam process should be done as one videographer would be deployed for the job.
